Acceptance policy for photo titles and comments

We don't accept in Panoramio comments/titles with profanity, discriminative, xenophobic, racist content, repeated, spam, etc. Posting those comments/titles could lead to the user deletion. An disproportionate number of links in a single comment will be also interpreted as spam

Photos of businesses and descriptive texts are allowed in Panoramio, but advertising printed over the photo or in the title is not accepted. For example the title "Pepito's Bar" would be Ok, however "Pepito's bar; snack and beer" or "Order prints and t-shirts, call 394845" is not OK. Advertising URLs in titles and comments are also not acceptable. Panoramio is a site for exploring places and sometimes business are a part of the place, however Panoramio is not a place for advertising, so please, flag those photos as inappropriate.

Check also the Spam policy for comments.

Panoramio is a site about photography and places, but we can't set limits to the subjects discussed in the comments. We prefer not interfere in the conversations and we let the author of the photo to decide about deleting the received comments or not. In the near future we will add features to block comments from a certain user and the possibility of not receiving comments at all in your photos. We only act in case of some abuse, Spam, or other kind of clearly illegal behaviour.

If you want to report a photo that is violating this policy, please, click on the "inappropriate or offensive" link on the right sidebar of the photo. If the photo is not violating this policy, but you still don't like it, I would suggest you to take further action and upload your own photos to Panoramio. Each photo in Panoramio.com has a popularity level, so if your photo gets more popular, it would be more visible than the ones you don't like ;)
